Non-Standard Schedule

Entering Hours Worked using Non-Standard Schedule
When an employee uses the
Non-standard Schedule method
of entering hours, they keep a record of the number of hours they work each day. They do not have to report their actual start and stop times. An In/Out calculator is available to help calculate number of hours based on clock-in and clock-out times.
In our example, Nancy Sherwood usually works about 39 hours a week, but her schedule varies to meet the needs of her department, so the actual number of hours per day is irregular. When she logs into COLTS II, she finds the Work column on the Work panel blank, and she enters the number of hours she works each day (not including unpaid breaks, such as lunch).

Number of Hours Worked

|
If you are an employee using Non-standard Schedule, the Work column will be blank when you enter the Work panel. Enter the number of hours worked for each day within the pay period.

Use your mouse to click on the entry field for the day where you are going to enter hours. A blue arrow will appear, pointing at the field you have selected. Type the number of hours you worked (using tenths of an hour), not including any unpaid breaks. If you wish, an
In/Out Calculator
can be displayed by clicking on the blue arrow. It will calculate your hours worked based on the in/out times you enter in the calculator. It will store the total number of hours in the entry field, but will not save the actual in/out times.
