Entering Leave Hours
|
|
The
Leave panel
is where you keep a record of hours for which you are entitled to pay, other than those you worked.
First, click on the "Leave" tab. (Remember that the row of tabs you see will depend on which time-entry option you are using. If you use Standard Schedule or Non-standard Schedule, you will not see an "In/Out" tab.)
COLTS II will display a blank "Leave" panel.
If you took Vacation, Sick Time, or Personal Leave, click in the field in the column for that type of leave on the appropriate day and enter the number of hours of leave you are reporting. Report your hours to the nearest tenth of an hour.

|
(If you wish, an
In/Out Calculator
can be displayed by clicking on the blue arrow that appears next to the field you clicked on. It will calculate your leave hours based on the start and stop times you enter in the calculator. It will store the total number of hours in the entry field, but will not save the actual in/out times.)

If you took any other kind of leave, click on the "Select" button at the right side of the screen.
In the Leave Selection window that appears, click in the small box to the left of the type(s) of leave you need to report. A check mark will appear to indicate you have selected a type of leave. To remove the check mark, click in the small box again. (You will not be able to un-select any type of leave that already has hours entered, or Vacation, Sick, or Personal Leave.) In the example above, we have selected "Holiday". When you have selected the type(s) of leave you need, click on the "Done" button to return to the Leave tab.
The types of leave you have selected will now appear on the Leave tab. Fill in the appropriate hours as described above for Vacation, Sick, or Personal Leave. In the example below, we show 8 hours of Holiday time on the first Monday of the pay period and 4.5 hours of Personal Leave the next day.
